Customer contacted us about her decking in London that already had few coats of stain over the years and now requires restoration. Stripping the old stain off the decking was a meticulous process. We began by thoroughly cleaning the surface to remove dirt and debris. Using a high-quality decking stripper, we applied it generously across the decking, allowing it to penetrate and loosen the old paint. After waiting the recommended time, we cleaned thoroughly.
Once the stain was removed, neautralisers and brightneres were applied. We also sanded the decking with coarse and then fine-grit sandpaper to smooth the wood and eliminate any remaining residue. This step prepared the surface for optimal oil absorption.
Finally, we applied a premium decking oil with a brush, working it into the wood grain in even strokes. The oil not only enhanced the natural beauty of the wood but also provided protection against the elements. The result was a revitalized deck with a fresh, durable finish.
